Anabia Red suits anyone who wants a fruity floral that leans warm rather than sharp, with a base built to hold its shape for hours after application. The black currant and rose combination gives it a distinct character among Khadlaj's oil range, and the oil format means it sits close to the skin rather than projecting outward, making it a good fit for everyday wear or layering under a stronger fragrance.

Product Details
Khadlaj Anabia Red opens with black currant, mandarin, grapefruit and bergamot, sharp and juicy against the skin. Rose, apricot and jasmine settle in at the heart, softening into a warm base of vanilla, tonka bean, musk, amber and cedarwood that lingers long after the fruit has faded.
What Does Khadlaj Anabia Red Smell Like?
Anabia Red opens on a cluster of dark, juicy fruit. Black currant carries most of the weight here, giving the opening a tart, almost winey edge, while mandarin and grapefruit cut through it with a brighter citrus lift, and bergamot rounds the top off with its familiar sharp, slightly bitter freshness. It reads as a fruity opening rather than a citrus one, with the currant setting the tone and the other three notes there to keep it from turning sweet too early. As the top notes settle, rose moves to the centre. It is not a soapy, old-fashioned rose but one softened by apricot, which adds a soft, slightly velvety fruitiness alongside it, and jasmine, which brings a touch of white-flower warmth without pushing the composition into heavy floral territory. The fruit and the florals share the stage for a while, the black currant from the opening still faintly present under the rose. Underneath sits a base built for longevity rather than drama. Vanilla and tonka bean work together to give a soft, slightly gourmand sweetness, closer to warm sugar than dessert. Musk keeps that sweetness from becoming cloying, adding a clean, skin-close quality, while amber deepens the whole base with a resinous warmth, and cedarwood gives it enough structure to stop the composition from feeling flat. Together the five base notes read as comfortable and warm rather than sharp or woody-dominant.
How Does It Develop Through the Day?
The first stretch belongs to the fruit. Black currant, mandarin, grapefruit and bergamot arrive together and move quickly, so the opening is lively rather than lingering, and within the first while the citrus starts to thin out and hand over to the heart. Rose, apricot and jasmine take over next, and this middle stage is where Anabia Red spends most of its visible life on the skin. The rose stays soft rather than sharp, the apricot keeps it rounded, and the jasmine adds just enough lift to stop the heart from sitting too low or too sweet. There is no dramatic pivot into this stage, it simply builds as the top notes fade, which makes the transition feel smooth rather than sudden. From there the base notes start to show through underneath the florals before eventually taking over entirely. Vanilla and tonka bean bring the composition down into a warmer, sweeter register, musk and amber fill it out, and cedarwood keeps the drydown from feeling shapeless. By the later hours what is left on the skin is mostly the base: a soft, warm, faintly sweet skin scent with the memory of rose still sitting somewhere underneath it. It is a fragrance that moves from bright to warm in a fairly straight line, without abrupt jumps between stages.
Is It for Men or Women?
Anabia Red is built as a unisex fragrance. The fruity-floral heart and the soft gourmand base do not lean hard toward either a traditionally masculine or feminine profile, and nothing in the note structure — no aggressive citrus, no heavy powder, no sharp woods — pushes it firmly to one side. Anyone drawn to a fruity floral with a warm, comfortable base will find it wears the same way.
