The opening is bright and juicy. The bergamot, pineapple and grapefruit give sharp citrus with a ripe fruit edge, and it is at its loudest in the first half hour or so. From there the patchouli and cedarwood come through, giving the heart an earthy, dry woodiness, with jasmine adding a faint floral note. The base is where it spends most of its life: oakmoss brings a green, slightly bitter forest-floor smell, the woody notes keep it dry, and amber adds a little warmth as the afternoon turns to evening.
Hawas Black is frequently compared to Hacivat by Nishane. It shares its accords and its arc, opening on fruit and citrus before settling into a woody, mossy base. Wide range of budget friendly to relatively high end priced perfume brands. Rayhan, Armaf, French Avenue, Brandy, Lattafa just to mention a few. They also sell a 10ml of any brand you like, good for testing before you commit to the whole bottle.
This store reminds me of my days in Dubai. Prices are competitive and most probably the best I have found on the market. Amazing perfumes!
